About Talkzy

Last updated October 11, 2026

Talkzy is a teleprompter app for iPhone, iPad and Mac that scrolls your script right under the camera and follows your voice, made by Đào Văn Thương, an independent developer in Vietnam. On iPhone and iPad it records each take as its own clip while the script scrolls in a narrow column under the front camera; on the Mac the script sits in a slim bar under the notch during video calls, webinars and screen recordings. Speech recognition runs on the device, and Talkzy has no account and no server that receives scripts, voice or videos.

Why Talkzy exists

Popular teleprompter apps tend to let people down in the same few places: weekly billing and surprise renewals, voice-follow that lags, jumps ahead or freezes, settings and takes that are not kept, and basics like mirroring and remotes locked behind a paywall.

Talkzy does not try to win on AI features. It aims to be reliable and fair on exactly those points: the text keeps up with you, every take is kept, your setup is remembered, and there is no weekly plan.

Voice-follow is built on the speech recognition the device already has, so your voice and your script never have to leave it.

Privacy in short

  • Scripts, voice, videos and recognized words do not leave the device. Talkzy has no server that receives them.
  • There is no account and no advertising, and no advertising identifier is used.
  • The iPhone and iPad app sends anonymous usage statistics (Google Analytics for Firebase) and crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics). They are always on and never include your content.
  • Purchases go through RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous app user ID, a device identifier and purchase history. Feedback is sent only when you write it and tap Send.
